Many people have told me “this book changed my life”.  Piper takes seriously Westminster Confession’s claim that “man’s  chief end is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.”  Piper offers a free electronic version of the book here.

The Meaning of Marriage by Tim Keller

I go through this book in pre-marital counseling, but it speaks profoundly to any person who is married or will ever  consider  marriage.  One of the best books on Christian relationships.

A Praying Life by Paul Miller

This book is a simple approach to prayer.  It’s one of the few books I’ve read on prayer that is more inspirational than guilt driven.

Prodigal God by Tim Keller

Keller’s take on the parable of the prodigal son drives home the point that both “good” and “bad” sons need a loving father.

Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life By Donald S. Whitney

Like it or not, pursuing God seriously is hard work.  Whitney’s book has been challenging many of us to do the things that build a lasting relationship.
